Optimisation of microorganism tindalisation processes.Definition of the best formulation balancing efficacy and cost, based on calibrated percentages in a mixture of microorganisms and mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS).
The efficacy objective was confirmed by in vivo tests of the mixture with the best prebiotic index, carried out on animals by administering the mixture in the feed.
Project description
The INNOFEED project aimed to develop products with selected heat-inactivated (tindalised) micro-organisms that can be used as a raw material with prebiotic properties for animal nutrition.After optimisation of growth and inactivation conditions, mixing, prebiotic index measurement and in vivo testing with animals were performed.
